Ｗａｉｔ．．． １ｓｅｃｏｎｄ． ２ｖｏｌｃａｎｏｅｓ？

After years of playing the drums, the piano and singing, I finally started making electronic music whilst at University when I should have been studying film production. It turned out that I wasn't the only one on my course who preferred cooking funky beats to producing serious films.

I moved into a house in Peckham with Ivan (Bivan) in time for my final year and we spent the whole time jamming and creating and researching into every digital artform you can think of.

When Ivan and I get together, we start with what we both do best. I create the drums and he plays guitar. I add some virtual synth, piano, some sound design, Ivan gets his synth out and kills it. I mix and master the tracks, Ivan makes a cup of tea and comes back to listen with fresh ears.

Our housemate Ethan (MegaFungus) used to come in to our rooms with a cheap midi keyboard and freestyle over the end of most tracks. He was staying with me in Wales whilst we jammed and managed to find a way to get on the EP at the end of 'Match Point' - this time on his own snazzy keyboard (Nord Electro 6).

Ｔｈｅ Ｄｙｆｉ Ｂｉｏｓｐｈｅｒｅ

This EP is the result of Ivan visiting me whilst I was staying in Wales for the summer (2023). I was stationed right next to the river Dyfi, hence the title. I'm part Welsh, and creating a project in Wales means a lot to me, hence the last track being a bit more... ''''cinematic?''''

The ability to create music whilst surrounded mountains and rivers in the Dyfi Biosphere was good for my smog stained soul, The result is an EP with a light-hearted, funky theme with acoustic elements.

You can also download every song without background audio/atmospheric sound too if you love the songs but don’t need the tennis sounds (etc) in your projects! 🦜
